ABOUT US

The Bislimi Group Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, headquartered in Prishtina, Kosovo, which strives to help build a peaceful and prosperous future for Kosovo through quality education. Founded in 2006, TBG Foundation implements and administers the Education for Peace Scholarship Program, which aims at providing deserving Kosovo students an opportunity to earn a quality higher education abroad. Through its Kosovo Educational Exchange Center, the foundation administers the Education for Peace Internship Program, which offers the students of foreign partner universities that host Kosovo EFP students an opportunity to do internships in Kosovo.
 
Meet the Founder

Faton (Tony) Bislimi, founder of TBG Foundation, was born and raised in Gjilan, Kosovo. He holds honors (summa cum laude) bachelor degrees in computer science (BS) and mathematics (BA) from Texas Lutheran University (2005), a Master's in Public Administration and International Development from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (2007), where he was a Kennedy Fellow, and an MA in International Relations from Dalhousie University (2010), as a Centre for Foreign Policy Studies research fellow. He has lectured and presented at several international conferences on issues related to education, economic and social development, conflict resolution, and interethnic relations. A member of many honor and academic societies in the US (such as Alpha Chi, U.S. National Scholars Honor Society, Who's Who, etc), he has also earned important academic distinctions and awards. 
His work experience includes positions with major international organizations and companies - such as UNDP, RTI International, etc. He also has a passion to teach and has served as lecturer at the Victory University College in Prishtina and the American University in Kosovo. Currently, Tony is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Foreign Policy Studies & EU Centre of Excellence (Dalhousie University), and a Senior Fellow at the Kosovo Public Policy Center. His wife Nora, daughter Fiona, and he currently live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where Tony is pursuing his PhD in political science at Dalhousie University, where he is also teaching a Development Economics course.
