Two students have been awarded Education for Peace
Scholarships to pursue their undergraduate studies at Northwestern Polytechnic
University in Fremont, California, starting this Winter 2011 session.
The 2010 EFP winners are Mr. Dren Qerimi and Mr. Bajram
Hoxha. Both of them are not only excellent students in terms of their
academic performance, but they are also excellent members of their communities
and excellent volunteers. They have a passion for technology and both will be
studying computer science.
Dren was born and raised in Gjilan, Kosovo and was one of
the top graduating students of his high school class. He earned several
honorable mentions, certificates of appreciation, and other prizes in a variety
of competitions, academic quizzes, etc.
Bajram was born and raised in Ferizaj, Kosovo and also
graduated with a remarkable academic record from his high school. His passion
for computers knows no limits. Despite his young age, he has helped establish
several formal and informal computer scientist groups and has worked for
computer and software engineering firms already. His programming skills are
quite impressive.
Both Dren and Bajram are our foundation's 2010 EFP
scholarship winners, thanks to the generous support of NPU.
