The Education for Peace Scholarships Program to Enlarge in 2008, despite many difficulties

Prishtina, 31 December 2007--Being encouraged by the success the EFP scholarship recipients have already shown at Texas Lutheran University , F. Tony Bislimi and his staff, all of whom voluntarily work for the TBG Foundation, will continue to work hard to ensure the eventual enlargement of the EFP Scholarships Program.

The establishment of a scholarship program for graduate studies will be the focus of the TBG Foundation, because an increasing number of Kosovars seem to be very interested to pursue their graduate studies abroad, and especially in the United States.

“We hope to increase the number of undergraduate scholarships this year as we hope to include more American and Canadian universities in our Education for Peace Scholarships Program,” Bislimi said, “despite the major problem of the lack of funds for operational and administrative work.”  The work of the TBG Foundation so far has been financially supported by the founder himself, Tony Bislimi, and his volunteer staff.

“I am not sure how long we can go on working like this,” Bislimi said, adding that he is more than happy with the future professionals he has helped Kosova have by providing EFP scholarships. “We will simply never give up, but rather continue to enlarge our scholarship program. Let’s not forget the famous American saying – where there’s a will, there’s a way,” Bislimi said.
